The Drupal contribution tree is flooded with a bunch of different flickr modules. The only 2 maintained modules are flickr and flickrmodule. One of which is maintained by me. Andrew Morton and I have decided to merge our work. We have a great road map. We have already started splitting our code into smaller modules, I am targeting a preview release of the module by the first week of January.
I will be fading http://www.drupal.org/project/flickrmodule away, the final release being for Drupal 4.7.

Fantastic - does it include an authentication implementation?
To me, the holy grail of the Flickr API for Drupal is letting 3rd party Flickr tools interact with a Drupal site the way they'd interact with Flickr. As I understand it, the first step towards this goal would be letting the tools authenticate. Do you guys see any way that this will ever be possible? Do you see value in implementing a Drupal authentication scheme similar to Flickr's?
flickrhood
I am the developer of the flickrhood module, which is maintained. The reason I created flickrhood was because every other module created photo pages for only one user and I felt it would be impossible to make progress by submitting patches to other projects that at the time weren't very active.
Anyways, I'll keep track of your project (is there a URL/CVS?) and I'd like to collaborate rather then continue duplicating efforts. I have no problems closing down my project if the major features of flickrhood are included in your module.
Hope I can help out.
Andrew
