Many myths have come up about Bush surrounding his presidency, and about things that concern him. Well. here's the truth as I see it.
Myth 1.: George W. Bush has created a bad economy because of the "Clinton Recession"-This is entirely false, because, if I remember right, there was a $40 billion SURPLUS the day Bush took office, which he managed to turn into a debt within a month of claiming his throne.
Myth 2.:Bush is highly educated and intelligent-G.W. did go to Yale, a highly repected school. However, he got in because his father donated generously to the college, and he earned straight C's during his attendance. He also had a cocaine addiction and a DUI. Yeah, sounds like a real Gore Vidal...
Myth 3.:George W. Bush is a religious champion-although he is a devout evangelical, Bush only uses his religion to manipulate the Christian culture in America and to get votes
Myth 4.:Bush is compassionate toward all people-tell that to the families of the over 100 men he sent to their deaths at the electric chair, of the 750 soldiers who lost their lives in Iraq this last year, of the estimated 11,000 Iraqi CIVILIANS who have been killed in this war.
Myth 5.: Iraq was involved with the 9/11 attacks-so far, the only thing linking Saddam Hussein to the attacks is that SOME of the hijackers MAY HAVE BEEN IRAQIS. As for the WMD's Saddam apparently shipped in some aluminum tubes which were later found NOT to be suitable for making weapons
Myth 6.:George W. Bush won the 2000 election, any way you look at it- actually, he lost the popular vote to Gore, but apparently the people's choice doesnt matter. It should also be noted that in Florida, over 2000 votes were THROWN AWAY, an overwhelmingly large percentage of which were cast by blacks. If only over a fourht of those votes had been for Gore, we'd have a different/better president.
Myth 7.: the UN is ok with Iraq-The UN said going into Iraq would be stupid, so Bush said, "Fuck you," and went in anyway. Now he has the balls to say, " well, we made the country into a chaos ridden mess, so you can clean it up Kofi (Head of the UN).
